Due to its benefits, it is recommended that it must be used daily in your diet.

The usage of Indian spices makes this dish more tasty and mouthwatering. In few minutes, you can prepare yummy dish by using half capsicum and few cubes of paneer. This recipe does not contain water so you can preserve it for one or two days.

Ingredients
  • Paneer (two cups, cubed)
  • Green chilies (two in number)
  • Capsicum (half and cubed)
  • Onion(one large sized)
  • Garlic (four pods, crushed)
  • Ginger (one teaspoon paste, crushed)
  • Fenugreek leaves (dried, two or three pinches)
  • Tomato (one in number, pureed)
  • Red chili (one teaspoon, powder)
  • Turmeric (one pinch, powder)
  • Cumin seeds (half teaspoon)
  • Tomato (one tablespoon, paste)
  • Coriander powder (one teaspoon)
  • Salt (according to taste)
  • Coriander leaves (chopped, use for garnishing)
  • Oil (two teaspoon)
How to prepare Kadai Paneer
  1. Chop green chilies and onions; put both of them into grinder to get fine paste. Take a frying pan, heat oil in it and sauté this paste for three to four minutes.

  2. After sautéing the onions, add coriander powder, chili powder, cumin seeds and turmeric powder in it. Stir them for few seconds and then add garlic-ginger paste. Pour one drought of water, stir well and let it sauté for one or two minutes.

  3. Add tomato paste into this mixture and let it cook for one more minute.

  4. Add also tomato puree and sauté for five minutes. Cook till this mixture leaves the oil.

  5. Put chopped and cubed capsicum in the masala.

  6. Add also salt and kasoorimethi. Sauté them for three minutes. You know, capsicum is a vegetable that is consumed even raw in salads so you need not to cook it too much. Two or three cooking minutes are sufficient for this vegetable in this recipe. You just need to make it crunchy.

  7. When capsicum becomes crunchy, add the cubed pieces of paneer. Stir it however you should not stir it hard rather gentle for your hard stirring may mix up the cubes. Let it cook for two to three minutes. Turn off the stove and remove the pot from flame.

  8. Drain it in serving dish and garnish with coriander leaves.

  9. Enjoy this recipe with hot homemade bread.
Things you need to know
  • Wash capsicum before making its cubes however do not put it in the dish until it becomes completely dry after washing. Watery capsicum will leave water while cooking and will also not give crunchy taste in eating.

  • Water is not used in this dish however you can use two tablespoons of water just to mix up dry spices. Do not add capsicum until water dries. Otherwise, you will not get the desired taste of the dish.

  • Keep the flame slow during the entire cooking time because there is no water that you need to dry with high flame.
