Poori Masala

Introduction:
Poori is the famous Indian appetizer served at lunch, dinner or tea parties. Poori masala is made up of potato which is necessarily complimented with poori. It is made full of spices and tastes quite good with roti as well. To make this mouth watering and tempting dish is very easy. Keep it with pickle and add on to the taste of poori.

Ingredients:
  • Four peeled and cubed potatoes
  • Two thinly sliced onions
  • Salt to taste
  • Half teaspoon haldi (turmeric)
  • Quarter teaspoon mustard seeds (rai)
  • Quarter teaspoon cumin seeds (zeera)
  • Quarter teaspoon urad daal (split black gram)
  • Ten curry leaves
  • One teaspoon lal mirch powder (red chilli powder)
  • Fresh coriander
  • Green chilli
  • Quarter cup Oil
Preparation Process: Boil the potatoes and mash the boiled potatoes roughly. Heat the oil and add onion. When onion starts changing its color, add all of the ingredients except coriander and green chilies. Then add potatoes and quarter cup of water and cook it until it starts getting thick. Garnish with coriander and green chilies and serve hot.
