Adai Dosa

Introduction:
Dosa is famous Indian appetizer made in different varieties. This is quite healthy and nutritious food to eat as it contains the goodness of grains and lentils in it. Adai dosa is famous as tiffin meal which is the origination of Tamilnadu kitchens. It is very quick and easy dish to make which everyone loves to eat.

Ingredients:
  • Quarter cup urad daal
  • Quarter cup chana daal
  • Quarter cup toor daal
  • Half cup raw rice and half cup boiled rice
  • One clove of garlic
  • Salt as per taste
  • Quarter teaspoon heeng (asafetida)
  • One teaspoon red chili flakes (kuti laal mirch)
  • One onion (finely chopped)
  • Four curry leaves
  • One tablespoon grated coconut
Preparation Process:
Wash all lentils and rice thoroughly and keep them soaked for an hour. Grind them with the spices, except onions and curry leaves with much water that keeps the mixture at medium consistency. The mixture must not to be much thick or much thin. Add curry leaves and onions later in the mixture and mix well. Take a frying pan, heat it and pour the mixture over it so that a medium sized bread forms. When dosa start changing its color, drizzle some oil over it and cook until it turns golden brown from both sides.

Serve with any chutney or raita or bhaji you like.
