Sabudana Vada

Introduction:
Sabudana vada is a crunchy and mouthwatering tea time snack. This item is especially cooked at Navratri when Indian ladies keep fasts. It is made with very healthy ingredients such as sabudana, peanuts and potatoes which are very nutritious to eat. Following is the simplest recipe of sabudana vada to follow.

Ingredients:
  • Two potatoes
  • 50 grams of peanuts
  • One cup of saboodana
  • Salt as per taste
  • Half teaspoon red chili powder
  • Half teaspoon cumin powder
  • Green chilies
  • Fresh coriander leaves
Preparation Process:
Boil the potatoes, peel and mash them. Roast the peanuts and grind them roughly. Soak sabudana for two hours and drain the water. Mix potatoes, peanuts, saboodana, salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, green chilies and fresh coriander leaves together and make circular thick patties of them. Heat the oil and fry them shallow from both sides till they turn golden brown.

Sabudana vada are ready to serve!
