Vegetable Jalfarezi

Introduction:
Who says vegetables are tasteless? Now everyone can treat their taste buds with the mouth watering and exotic variety made out of vegetables. One delicious dish out of such irresistible variety is vegetable jalfarezi. Made with mixed vegetables, this Chinese recipe is followed with Indian spices in Indian kitchens, thus making it more spicy, tempting and aromatic. Following is the simplest recipe of vegetable jalfarezi to make. Follow it and enjoy it with your family.

Ingredients:
  • Two carrots, half cup green peas, 2 potatoes, half cup French beans and one cup green bell pepper

  • Two onions

  • Salt as per taste

  • Two big sized tomatoes

  • Half teaspoon of sugar

  • One teaspoon of red chili powder (laal mirch powder)

  • Quarter teaspoon of black pepper powder (kaali mirch powder)

  • Half teaspoon of garam masala powder (all spices powder)

  • One teaspoon of ginger garlic paste

  • Three green chilies

  • Quarter cup oil

Preparation Process:
Cut carrots, potatoes, onions and green black peppers in cubes. Boil all the vegetables. In a cooking pan, heat the oil and add onions and fry till they become transparent. Then add chopped tomatoes and fry till they start blending. Add salt, sugar, red chili powder, black pepper powder and ginger garlic paste with quarter cup of water and cook till oil appears on the surface. Add all the vegetables and one cup water and cook until gravy starts thicken. Vegetable jalfarezi do not keep so much gravy in it but if you like gravy then you can add more water in it. In the last, add garam masala powder and green chilies and serve hot with boiled rice.
