Ghee Rice

Ghee rice is another variation in rice that is must-try. The recipe contains no new ingredients but their blend makes this rice unique and well-tasting. Thus, if you are looking for change then gather all the ingredients and make this aromatic delicious recipe which will be certainly loved by the whole family.

  • Two cups of basmati rice
  • Salt as per taste
  • Five tablespoons of ghee
  • Six whole black peppers
  • Two bay leaves
  • Two cardamoms
  • Quarter teaspoon of fennel seeds
  • One piece of cinnamon
  • Four whole cloves
  • One big sized thinly sliced onion
  • Three cups of water
  • Fried onions
  • Fried cashew nuts
  • Fresh coriander leaves
Preparation process:
Soak the onions in water for an hour. Fry the onions in ghee till they start changing their color. Add quarter cup of water and all other spices. When the water starts absorbing, drain the rice and add in the spices. Add three cups of water and let the rice cook. When ready, garnish with fried onions, fried cashew nuts and fresh coriander leaves.
